“We don’t need Sajmište and similar execution sites to be places where heads of state would be posing for photographs next to memorial plaques (…). I’m not in favour of putting up memorial plaques, building a memorial museum or a cemetery without an educational centre to be visited by tens of thousands of pupils every year, spending an entire day there from the morning until evening. They should come back home with a clear vision and say: “We will never take part in any war that results in similar victims or any victims like the ones who perished on these execution sites.”
